The journey to Lemma

Lemma was founded in 2018 by Nicola Colleran, a management consultant, strategy consultant and executive coach. After working as a consultant for over 10 years (with EY in Europe and the US) and then in a leadership role at Demonware (part of Activision Blizzard) and also as a university lecturer, Nicola had experienced lots of strategy process e.g. top-down, bottom-up and whole system. Often, people didn’t believe in the strategies because they weren’t included in their creation, they didn’t know that the organisation had a strategy existed, or it was forgotten about because the plans were not monitored and tracked and wasn’t implemented.

She worked on a strategy process where the whole leadership team, the organisation, their stakeholders e.g. customers, suppliers and Board of Directors, were given a chance to have their say, and their voices were heard. The power of this type of strategic thinking and planning was phenomenal and created an environment where people were putting extra effort into their work, they were clear about what was to be done and also what wasn’t to be done. In addition, employee engagement was up and work become a much more enjoyable for everyone

And so Lemma was created, a strategy and coaching company that offers strategy facilitation and executive coaching.
